Founded in 1930 by William K. Boyd, the Friends of the Duke University Libraries are dedicated to supporting and promoting library services. For more than 80 years, the Friends have strengthened the Libraries by supporting and enriching our collections. Through annual gifts, donations of books and other materials, and bequests, the Friends have been essential to our growth over the years from a small but respected institution to one of the nation's top ten private academic research library systems.
But we could not have achieved this distinction without the help of our Friends, who provide financial support and advocacy for the Libraries and the entire Duke community. We invite you to show your support and join the Friends of the Duke University Libraries.
